The Forum of Slavic Cultures is actively engaged in its 2024 activities. In August, director Andreja Rihter held a work meeting with officials from the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture and the Regional ethnographic open-air museum “Etar.” The primary purpose of this meeting was to enhance collaboration and discuss the upcoming Živa 2024 award ceremony.

Fresh from the press: the novel Thursday by Zdravka Evtimova

Zdravka Evtimova, a prominent Bulgarian writer and president of the Bulgarian PEN center, has gained recognition for her novel Thursday, which was included in the 100 Slavic Novels collection. Evtimova is highly regarded in contemporary Bulgarian prose and is also known for her translations from English, French, and German.

The project Transformations continues

The Forum of Slavic Cultures (FSK) remains committed to its ongoing project, “Transformations: FROM the Slavic Clothing Tradition TO Contemporary Designs”, as the initiative continues to gain momentum. In a recent development, talented designers from Poland, the Czech Republic, Croatia, North Macedonia, and Montenegro had their collections captured through a photoshoot held in May 2023. In September we are planning a comprehensive presentation of the project at the Museum of Applied Art in Belgrade.
