Andreja Rihter Joins the Board of Trustees of the University of Primorska
Director of the Forum of Slavic Cultures, Dr. Andreja Rihter, was invited to join the Board of Trustees of the University of Primorska, which has collaborated with the FSC for more than a decade. The board is to promote cooperation between researchers and the academia on the one hand, and economic operators and other development agents on the other.
The Management Board of the University of Primorska decided to revive its Board of Trustees. At the first meeting, which was attended by more than 30 representatives of public institutes, companies and mayors, the UP rector, Prof. Dr. Klavdija Kutnar explained: “This goes to show that the university’s development is in the interest of many who operate in the wider region. Our aim is to engage the Board of Trustees in the process of designing our annual programmes and strategies, and I am convinced that with the help of this consultation body we will be able to facilitate more efficient development of the course of our activities to align them with the topical challenges and needs of the economic sector.”
“I am pleased that the decade long partnership between the FSC and the UP will grow even stronger and that we can now tap more efficiently into our extensive partnership network to maximise our potentials,” said Dr. Andreja Rihter, Director of the Forum of Slavic Cultures, upon joining the Board of Trustees of the University of Primorska.
The Board of Trustees will officially begin operations in autumn. Its members are to facilitate the expansion of the partnership network through joint projects that will utilize the expertise and experience of the academia to generate concrete products for the economic sector.
