FSK and WWR in Esch-sur-Alzette, European Capital of Culture 2022

Between 8 and10 September 2022 the Luxembourgish city of Esch-sur-Alzette, this year’s European Capital of Culture, hosted the European Museum Academy’s conference and awards meeting, at which Andreja Rihter presented the international foundation Forum of Slavic Cultures and the Women Writers Route (WWR), which was certified this year by the Council of Europe’s Institute of Cultural Routes.

FSK and ICOM SEE in Prague – a step on the common path

At the 26th ICOM General Conference, the Forum of Slavic Cultures and the International Council of Museums of South-Eastern Europe organised two round tables. The focus was on common roots and their importance in ensuring peace, and on the threat to heritage in states of emergencys such as war. The meeting was attended by 50 experts.

FSK and EMA Experts at a Seminar in Romania

On the initiative of Ioan Cristescu, Director of the National Museum of Romanian Literature, and Virgil Stefano Nitulescu from the National Rural Museum of Romania, a seminar on Museums that Count in Europe took place in Bucharest. Among other things, it aimed at strengthening the links between the FSK and the EMA with experts from Romania, a country bordering on the Slavic world and where the FSK could expand its activities in the future.

Ljubljana Puppet Theatre in Villa Zlatica

With the aim of enriching the programme activities in Villa Zlatica and developing new audiences, the Forum of Slavic Cultures has teamed up with the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre. The theatre presented itself for the first time in the garden of the Villa Ivan Hribar, the former Mayor of Ljubljana, with two sold-out performances of Sapramouse.
