The 100 Slavic Novels collection will soon reach a hundred published titles. The Slovenian translation of the Macedonian writer Aleksandar Prokopiev’s novel Dzirkačot (The Peeper), the 97th book in the collection, is coming to the bookshelves. The translation is by Robert Suša, with an afterword by Namita Subiotto.

The exhibition Paths, Ties, and Discoveries dedicated to three Serbian women writers Jelena Dimitrijević, Desanka Maksimović and Isidora Sekulić opened at the National Library of Serbia. Vladimir Pištalo, the director of the National Library of Serbia, Andreja Rihter, the president of the Women Writers Route Association, as well as Biljana Dojčinović and Mirjana Stanišić, the authors of the exhibition, spoke at the opening. The exhibition is open until 17 March 2023.

The Forum of Slavic Cultures, in cooperation with partners, organised the Festival of Slavic Literatures. The first edition of the Festival, which will become a regular literary event on the cultural calendar in the years to come, was dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the 100 Slavic Novels collection. The Women Writers Route has been certified by the European Institute for Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe. The Women Writers Route is the first of the 48 Council of Europe Cultural Routes to be based in Slovenia.
As part of the programme of the Centre of the Forum of Slavic Cultures in Belgrade, a literary evening dedicated to the Bulgarian writer Zdravka Evtimova and her novel “Thursday” took place at the National Library of Serbia. The work, translated into Serbian by Elizabeta Georgiev, was published in the 100 Slavic Novels collection.

Before the end of the year, the 15th anniversary of the 100 Slavic Novels collection was celebrated at the Russian State Library, the largest library in Russia and one of the largest in the world. Slovenian writer Gabriela Babnik took part in the event. Her novel Intimno (Intimate) is included in the Slovenian list of the collection.
On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the collection, the “Vladislav Petković Dis” City Library in Čačak and the Novi Sad City Library held roundtable discussions dedicated to “this major international cultural, literary and promotional project of Slavic literatures”.
