On the last Saturday of every month, we offer a special guided walking tour of the city, including a visit to Villa Zlatica.
The walk starts in the centre of Ljubljana’s Old Town, where we gather in front of the steps of the City Hall. After a short introduction, we walk through Prešeren Square to Tivoli and continue walking to Villa Zlatica in Rožna Dolina. After arrival at the Hribar’s home, we offer visitors a short tea break in the ambience of a beautiful Art Nouveau villa. This is the perfect opportunity for a rest or an in-depth historical discussion in a unique setting. After a short break, we continue with a tour of Hribar’s home, where we learn about his personal life and priceless Art Nouveau home of our greatest mayor, Ivan Hribar. Our guided walking tour aims to give visitors an insight into the history of the town at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and the role of Ivan Hribar within it. At the same time, we aim to provide an enjoyable experience with a break and many amusing anecdotes.
We will gather in front of the Town Hall (Stritarjeva ulica 2) at 11:00 and finish in Rožna Dolina (Cesta 27. Aprila 47) no later than 13:30. The price for the whole programme is € 10, or € 9 for students, seniors and unemployed. If you only attend the Ljubljana tour without visiting the villa, the price is € 8 and the discounted rate is € 6.
