Regular FSC Programme Council and Editorial Board Meeting in Bratislava

Regular FSC Programme Council and Editorial Board Meeting in Bratislava

The FSC Programme Council members met at their 16th regular meeting in Bratislava. The Slovak capital was also the venue of the FSC Editorial Board meeting.

The main item on the agenda of the 16th regular FSC Programme Council meeting was the FSC programme for 2020 with a special focus on the Slavic Cultural Summit, whose first edition is planned to take place next year in Slovenia. “The main purpose of such a meeting is to foster improved intercultural interaction, raise awareness of the diverse cultural expressions and identities of its participants, and to promote intercultural dialogue as well as our cities,” said Andreja Rihter, Director of the Forum of Slavic Cultures. The Programme Council members agreed with the initiative and approved the proposed work programme. As the FSC Editorial Board members, who had met prior to the Programme Council meeting, offered several proposals for the literature and publishing programme, the work programme remains subject to further changes and additions.

The FSC Programme Council members unanimously appointed the new President, Ms Dubravka Đurić Nemec from Croatia.
