The First Meeting of the Programme Council of the Women Writers’ Route

The Programme Council of the new cultural route – the Women Writers’ Route met at its first session. Programme Council members from five countries – Croatia, Poland, Russia, Slovenia and Serbia – met in Belgrade to discuss local communities and institutions that are to participate in this project as well as those interested in joining it.

The Programme Council members prepared an action plan for the coming year and agreed on future joint activities targeting the general and professional public, children and young adults. Ankica Puškarić, Director of Ivana’s House of Fairy Tales from Ogulin, Croatia, was appointed President of the Programme Council. The newly appointed president stressed that the project offers myriad opportunities for collaboration, networking and sharing of good practices, and added that it broadens horizons and, last but not least, expands and enriches the tourist and cultural offer.

The Serbian and Russian partners presented the Women Writers’ Route also at the 64th International Belgrade Book Fair that was held at the end of October.
