Organised by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation the international Festival of Museums, Intermuseum, is the main museum event in the country. The theme of the 21st festival is “Professionals’ Dialogue”. The FSC as a partner presented its activity for the second time, both with the exhibition stand and within the program for museum professionals. “In the changing world that along with itself changes also the role of museums, it is important to discuss changes in the human resources policies in museums. This is also one of the ways of responding to the daily situations and adapting to our time and space,” said Dr Andreja Rihter, Director of the Forum of Slavic Cultures, in her lecture on human resources in museums. In the frame of her appearances she also presented Piranova – International Heritage Research Centre and participated in several debates with other professionals. These included Massimo Negri, Scientific Director of the European Museum Academy (EMA). Together with Ms Rihter he spoke about the dialogue and networking between professionals and institutions such the FSC and EMA.

The Intermuseum festival featured more than 400 museums this year, with more than 3000 professionals taking part in the business program. The exhibition at Manege central exhibition hall in the immediate vicinity of Red Square was visited by numerous tourists.
