From Slovak ethnographic Heritage to Contemporary Designs
Within the Transformations project the Slavic fashion designers were inspired by their cultural heritage.
In the days spring is in full bloom we present the contemporary designs inspired by the traditional folk culture.
The rich legacy of the Karol Plicka, photographer, cinematographer and ethnologist, was an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the Slovak fashion designer Andrea Pojezdálova. She created the collection Retrotopia inspired by the idyllic scenes of life of common people and by their lives in line with the entire “from sowing to harvest” cycle.
