FSK and WWR in Esch-sur-Alzette, European Capital of Culture 2022

Between 8 and10 September 2022 the Luxembourgish city of Esch-sur-Alzette, this year’s European Capital of Culture, hosted the European Museum Academy’s conference and awards meeting, at which Andreja Rihter presented the international foundation Forum of Slavic Cultures and the Women Writers Route (WWR), which was certified this year by the Council of Europe’s Institute of Cultural Routes.

The Women Writers Cultural and Tourism Route was presented at the meeting of the Governing Board of the Council of Europe’s Extended Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes, which will take the final decision on the award of the Council of Europe Cultural Route certificates to this year’s candidates in the coming weeks.

Let Women’s Voices be Heard

The FSK and its partners marked International Women’s Day with events that showcased the role of important women in the past to different audiences, while also highlighting the importance of gender equality in the present and the future.

FSK at the Russian-Serbian Cultural Forum

At the invitation of President of the FSK Board, Maja Gojković, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Media, and Olga Yarilova, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Forum of Slavic Cultures attended the Russian-Serbian Cultural Forum in Belgrade.

All members present at the general meeting of the Women Writers Route Association

Members of the Women Writers Route Association from seven countries met at the general meeting. They approved the Association’s bodies, took note of its previous activities and fundamental documents, and adopted the work programme for the next three-year period. Their first task is to prepare and submit the application for the certification Cultural Route of the Council of Europe.
