The Forum of Slavic Cultures (FSK) presented the programmes of its International Heritage Research Centre – Piranova at the 7th Icarus Croatia Days entitled “Initiatives for Heritage, Education and the Digital Environment”.
The 7th Days of the Croatian part of the Icarus International Consortium took place in the framework of the Erasmus+ WAAT project. This aims at innovative ways of presenting and educating about the importance of heritage in contemporary society. More than 50 in-person and around 100 distance participants from 13 different countries learned about examples of European projects and programmes, platforms and cultural and scientific networks in the field of digital storytelling and teaching, networking and multimedia presentation of heritage. Current heritage topics, interdisciplinary good practices and open questions on communication, interpretation and digitisation of historical sources, audience development, use of digital information, cooperation between heritage and educational institutions were also presented.
At the international meeting, the FSK presented the education and training programmes that take place in the framework of Piranova – International Heritage Research Centre. The focus was on the Piranova international colloquia, the International Summer School of Museology and the FSK online library.
Icarus Croatia will make the lectures and other conference materials accessible to the European professional, scientific, cultural communities.
