From poet Lili Novy to mayor Ivan Hribar: A guided tour of Ljubljana

When we talk about Ljubljana’s history, we usually mention wars, kings and emperors. But what does the city’s past look like through the eyes of a poet and translator?

Discover the unheard stories and experiences of a poet who spent her life in the city along the Ljubljanica river, where she faced the many cruelties of life at the beginning of the 20th century. We will gather in Prešeren Square, in front of Prešeren monument in Ljubljana, which took on its famous appearance during the mayoralty of Ivan Hribar. Mateja Kregar Gliha will guide us along the Lili Novy trail. We will discover many hidden corners of our city, full of hidden stories and experiences. The route ends in Villa Zlatica.
