Živa Awards 2026 – Applications Now Open!

The Forum of Slavic Cultures (FSK) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Živa Awards 2026, honouring outstanding achievements in the preservation and promotion of Slavic cultural heritage.

The Živa Award, established in 2012, is an international cultural platform that connects Slavic museums and institutions, fostering collaboration, the exchange of ideas, and the development of joint projects. It is more than just an award – it serves as a hub for museum professionals and innovative practices in heritage preservation.

In its 2026 edition, the awards will celebrate achievements in the following categories:

·       Best Slavic Museum – for outstanding museums excelling in protection, presentation, and engagement.

·       Best Slavic Heritage Site – for heritage sites of exceptional cultural, historical, or natural value.

·       Diploma for Excellence in Preserving Slavic Heritage Worldwide – for Slavic communities, organisations, and initiatives outside the FSK member countries that actively preserve and promote Slavic cultural heritage.

The Živa Awards are inspired by the Slavic goddess Živa, a symbol of life, beauty and vitality, and pay tribute to the creativity and resilience of Slavic heritage institutions and organisations.

Participation in the Živa Awards offers valuable networking opportunities, exchange of professional knowledge and experience, and increased international visibility.
