Živa Awards 2025: Celebrating Excellence in Slavic Museums and Heritage – Applications Now Open

The Forum of Slavic Cultures (FSK) is delighted to announce the opening of applications for the Živa Awards 2025, a prestigious recognition honoring outstanding achievements in the preservation and promotion of Slavic cultural heritage. Established in 2012, the Živa Awards have grown to become a symbol of excellence and collaboration across Slavic nations and beyond.

In its 2025 edition, the awards will celebrate achievements in three categories:

  • Best Slavic Museum – Recognizing museums that excel in protecting, preserving, and communicating Slavic cultural heritage while showcasing innovation, inclusion, and storytelling.
  • Best Slavic Heritage Site – Celebrating heritage sites that reflect exceptional historical, artistic, and cultural value while maintaining sustainable practices.
  • NEW: Best in Preserving Slavic Heritage Worldwide– A new category that highlights the preservation and promotion of Slavic cultural identities among diaspora communities, emigrants, and cross-border regions around the globe.

The Živa Awards are a tribute to the resilience and creativity of Slavic heritage institutions and organizations, inspired by the Slavic goddess Živa, a symbol of life, beauty, and vitality.

Participating in the Živa Awards offers numerous networking opportunities, rich exchange of ideas and experiences with museum professionals across Slavic countries and beyond, and broader global recognition
