A unique cross-border literary trail of poetry and equality, dedicated to the poet Ljubka Šorli, also runs through Solkan. Pavlina Pajk, one of the authors featured on this trail, lived and worked here for a time. We are therefore pleased to invite you to the ceremonial unveiling of a monument dedicated to her, which will take place at Šolska ulica 22 on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
This event will symbolically conclude the Ljubka’s Trail project on the Slovenian side. The Research Center for Humanities at the University of Nova Gorica participated in the preparation of materials and other activities, together with the Forum of Slavic Cultures and the Lojze Bratuž Cultural Center.
