You are cordially invited to a concert of children’s and youth choirs performing the poetry of Ljubka Šorli.
The concert will take place on Wednesday, 19 February 2025, at 7 p.m. in the Lojze Bratuž Cultural Centre.
The event, held as part of the cross-border Interreg SPF Italy-Slovenia project Ljubka’s Trail, combines the purity of young voices with the profound words of the Slovenian poetess. The songs, selected by Professor David Bandelj, explore themes of nature, emotions, and reflections on the world, enriched with original musical compositions by the Gorizia-based composer Patrick Quaggiato.
The following choirs will perform at the concert: Tolmin Primary School, Šempeter-Vrtojba Primary School, Ajdovščina Primary School, Emil Komel Primary School Choir from Gorizia, Emil Komel Youth Choir from Gorizia, and Ljubka Šorli Primary School from Romjana.
The project is funded by the European Union through the Small Project Fund GO! 2025 of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme 2021-2027, managed by the EGTC GO.
