Albanian Iconography – The Great Masters is an innovative exhibition held at the Gallery of Digital Arts Korça (GADK) that offers an immersive journey through the rich history of Albanian art. The exhibition uniquely combines traditional Byzantine and post-Byzantine art with modern digital technology, bringing to life centuries of vibrant iconography. Highlights include the renowned Codices of Beratinus, listed in UNESCO’s Memory of the World, and works by master artists like Onufri, David Selenica, and the Zografi brothers.
The project is a collaboration between the National Museum of Medieval Art and the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, with the aim of preserving and promoting Albania’s artistic heritage. Directed by Arbri Malile, an experienced professional in multimedia and arts, the exhibition leverages cutting-edge digital displays to present Albania’s Byzantine art in a fresh, contemporary light.
