In honor of the birthday of writer Zofka Kveder, we cordially invite you to a screening of the film Genes of My Childrenby Croatian photographer Vladimira Spindler. The screening will take place on April 22 at 6 PM in the Projection Hall of the Ljubljana City Museum.
The film explores four generations of women in the director’s family who have left a lasting impact on cultural life, beginning with her great-grandmother, the writer Zofka Kveder.
Following the screening, Dr. Katja Mihurko, a leading expert on Zofka Kveder and Chair of the Scientific Council of the Writers’ Path, will engage in a discussion with the film’s author Vladimira Spindler, her mother, children’s writer Sunčana Škrinjarić, and her great-aunt, dance pedagogue Tihana Škrinjarić.
The event is organized by the Forum of Slavic Cultures (FSC) as part of the Ljubka’s Way project, in collaboration with the Association of Women Writers’ Journey.
