After successfully completing the sold-out radio production of In Agony, based on Miroslav Krleža’s themes and co-produced by the Society of Two and the Forum of Slavic Cultures, we are thrilled to announce our next project: a radio adaptation of In Search of the Lost Language, in close collaboration with the ARS programme of Radio Slovenia.
This stage narrative, imbued with comedic elements by Goran Vojnović and directed by Janusz Kica, premiered last November at SNG Nova Gorica. It delves into the complexities of family bonds, explores (mis)communication through language, and challenges the reliability of memory.
The upcoming sequel, Unable to Die, part of the European Capital of Culture Nova Gorica – Gorizia 2025 initiative and co-produced with Mittelfest, continues to explore themes rooted in the border region and its historical context.
The radio play at Villa Zlatica was recorded two days, on June 24 and 27, under the radio direction of Ana Krauthaker.
