Since 2023, the project has been jointly managed by the International Foundation – Forum of Slavic Cultures (FSK) and the EMA, further strengthening its impact and reach.

Nagrada Heritage in Motion osnovana je 2012. godine na inicijativu Evropske muzejske akademije (EMA) i udruženja Europa Nostra. Već više od decenije ova nagrada prepoznaje najbolje i najinovativnije multimedijske i digitalne projekte na području kulturne baštine u Evropi. Prvi put je dodijeljena 2014. godine, a od 2023. projekat zajednički vode Forum slovenskih kultura i EMA.
