The Forum of Slavic Cultures (FSK) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Živa Awards 2026, recognising excellence in the preservation, interpretation, and promotion of Slavic cultural heritage.
Award Categories in 2026
Best Slavic Museum – for outstanding museums excelling in protection, presentation, and engagement.
Best Slavic Heritage Site – for heritage sites of exceptional cultural, historical, or natural value.
Diploma for Excellence in Preserving Slavic Heritage Worldwide – for Slavic communities, organisations, and initiatives outside the FSK member countries that actively preserve and promote Slavic cultural heritage.
Deadline for applications: 10 March 2026
Award Ceremony and Conference: 30 September – 3 October 2026, Bled, Slovenia
How to Apply
Applications are free of charge and must be submitted via the online form. Two forms are available:
- Entry Form 1 – for museums and heritage sites
- Entry Form 2 – for institutions outside the Slavic region
