The 12th edition of the Training Academy on Cultural Routes will be held in Torres Vedras, Portugal, from 11 to 13 June 2025. This year’s edition will be dedicated to the theme “Cooperation and Cultural Routes” and is being organised by the European Institute of Cultural Routes, in collaboration with the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe, namely Destination Napoleon and Iter Vitis.
As one of the most active members of the Women Writers Route—one of the 48 Cultural Routes certified by the Council of Europe—the FSK will present its initiative Ljubka’s Trail, a cross-border literary route promoting poetry and gender equality. Dr Andreja Rihter, Director of the FSK and President of the Women Writers Route, will participate in a panel discussion entitled Synergies and Strategic Alliances Among Cultural Routes.
The panel will focus on inter-route cooperation, best practices, and strategies for overcoming challenges in building sustainable partnerships. Dr Rihter will highlight the international conference Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe: Recognition and Preservation of Cultural Heritage in Cross-Border Regions, along with other activities undertaken within the framework of the Ljubka’s Trail project to foster networking and collaboration among the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe.
The Ljubka’s Trail project is part of the ECOC programme GO! 2025 Nova Gorica – Gorizia and is funded by the European Union from the Small Project Fund GO! 2025 of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme 2021-2027, managed by the EGTC GO.
