FSK Director Andreja Rihter Participates in the 4th Skopje Cultural Diplomacy Forum

At the invitation of Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, former President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Andreja Rihter, Director of the Forum of Slavic Cultures (FSK), participated in the 4th Skopje Cultural Diplomacy Forum 2026, held on 27–28 May 2026.

The forum, co-organised by the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy (ICD), the International Center Alliance of Civilisations (ICAC), and partner institutions, brought together distinguished diplomats, parliamentarians, cultural leaders, academics, and artists to explore the role of cultural diplomacy in strengthening international dialogue and cooperation.

As a panellist in the session “The Role of Democratic Institutions in Cultural Dialogue: From Representative to Cohesion,” held at the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, Andreja Rihter addressed the importance of democratic institutions in fostering intercultural dialogue. She also presented the Forum of Slavic Cultures as a successful international platform that connects countries, institutions, and individuals through culture, demonstrating how long-term cultural cooperation contributes to mutual understanding and sustainable partnerships.

The forum provided an important platform for the exchange of ideas and best practices, reaffirming the essential role of culture as a bridge between societies and highlighting the value of international collaboration in addressing contemporary global challenges.
