The volume Defiant Trajectories: Mapping out Slavic Women Writers Route brings six academic papers on women writers from Montenegro, Croatia, Poland, Russia, Serbia and Slovenia. International foundation Forum of Slavic Cultures is moving to new premises in the renovated Villa Zlatica, the home of Ljubljana’s former mayor Ivan Hribar. The first periodic exhibition on show in the exhibition premises will be Ivan Hribar and the Slavic World. Villa Zlatica is expected to open its doors for visitors in May.

With epidemiological situation in most Slavic countries improving and control measures relaxing the judges for the Živa Award are ready to visit the nominated museums in person. Should that not be possible for all of the museums the visit and evaluation will take place remotely. Writer, theatre and film director Marko Sosič passed away aged barely 62. Marko Sosič was born in 1958 in Trieste. He graduated in theatre directing at the Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Zagreb. He has directed in various Slovenian and Italian theatres as well as for television. He was Artistic director of the Slovene National Theatre in Nova Gorica and Slovene Permanent Theatre in Trieste.
