The Heritage in Motion Award (HIM) recognises innovative multimedia and audiovisual projects that promote, explore, or safeguard cultural heritage worldwide, opening up new ways for audiences to engage with heritage collections.
The Award is open to professionals and organisations worldwide working in the field of cultural heritage. Founded in 2012, the 2026 edition marks its 12th edition, and is jointly managed by European Museum Academy (EMA) and the International Foundation – Forum of Slavic Cultures (FSK). Winners and finalists are celebrated at a two-day festival and award ceremony held in Bled, Slovenia, on 29–30 September 2026.
As digital technologies continue to reshape how we access and experience cultural heritage, Heritage in Motion remains a key platform for recognising the most compelling and innovative work in the field.
